Director of Engineering - Blue Ridge PBS
Blue Ridge PBS, the public television station serving the Roanoke and Lynchburg, Virginia DMA seeks Director of Engineering to supervise technical staff and maintain all aspects of a television station.
This position is responsible for the station's technical operations, including studio, on-air, production, power, transmission and video/IT systems.
The ideal candidate must be able to excel in a fast paced environment, work well under pressure and be solution oriented. This is a hands-on position. Strong verbal and written communication and follow up skills are critical. Knowledge of digital TV, satellite, microwave and fiber transmissions a must.
Five years broadcast technical experience preferred. SBE certification strongly preferred. Must be able to occasionally work flexible hours. Competitive salary, benefits and station vehicle.
