Come join SBE Chapter 78 and Broadcast General Store for the first annual Broadcast Equipment Exposition, held at the Roanoke Civic Center, July 17, 2008 from 8 AM until 5 PM.

Over 50 manufacturers of broadcast equipment for TV, Radio, Production adn IPTV will be exhibiting. Throughout the day there will be papers and programs to educate and inform on a variety of topics important to broadcasters and production facilities, with a track for radio, TV and management. The president of the national SBE will be speaking. Certifications exams will be given. Simply put, this will be the largest regional exhibition held in our area. Whatever your interest, you will fine it here.

DTV Transition Update

The Department of Commerce's National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA) has announced the final rule for the Digital-to-Analog Converter Box Coupon Program (coupon program) designed to help consumers continue receiving free, over-the-air television when full-power television stations cease analog broadcasting after February 17, 2009.
